Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This policy explains what information Owesome collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to owesome.work and every Owesome product.

1.Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information created as you use Owesome, and a small amount of technical information from your device.

  • Account details: your name, work email, password and workspace information.
  • Content you create: projects, tasks, people records, time entries and files you add to the products you use.
  • Billing details: handled by our payment provider; we store the plan, seats and invoices, not full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data: pages visited, features used, IP address and browser type, used to keep the service secure and reliable.

2.How we use information

We use your information to run the service, keep it secure, support you and improve it over time.

  • Provide and maintain the products in your workspace.
  • Authenticate you and protect against abuse and fraud.
  • Respond to your requests and provide support.
  • Send service and billing notices, and (only if you opt in) product news.
  • Understand how features are used so we can improve them.

3.How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited circumstances:

With members of your own workspace, according to the roles and permissions your admins set; with service providers who help us run Owesome (such as hosting and payments) under contract; and when required by law or to protect our users. If Owesome is involved in a merger or acquisition, we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4.Data security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, strict internal access controls, continuous monitoring and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and to notify you promptly if something goes wrong. See our Security page for details.

5.Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your workspace is active. When you close an account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, tax or security obligations.

6.Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage most of your data directly in your account settings, or contact us and we will help.

7.International transfers

Owesome operates globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it when it moves across borders.

8.Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how parts of the service work.

9.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves or the law changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.

10.Contact us
